Flint to Grace
Flint to Grace is a Christ-centered podcast based on the book Flint to Grace – Real Struggles, Redeeming Grace by Dr. T.J. Klein, published by WestBow Press. Rooted in stories shaped by growing up in Flint, Michigan—amid gritty streets, closing factories, hardship, and resilience—this podcast reflects on what happens when real life collides with the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. Through Scripture, testimony, and honest reflection, Flint to Grace explores faith formed in adversity, grace that meets us at rock bottom, and a Savior who redeems what the world considers broken. This is a companion for the weary, the searching, and the hopeful—reminding us that no matter where we come from, Jesus is still writing stories of restoration.

Because no matter where life begins, God's grace is always leading us... from Flint to Grace.
Hello, friends, and welcome to the Flint to Grace podcast. I'm Dr. TJ Klein, and I want to personally invite you to join me for a brand new series that I'm excited to share with you. Over the next five episodes, we'll journey through five powerful passages of scripture that have encouraged, challenged, and sustained believers for generations. These are more than familiar verses. They are life-changing truths that remind us how to stand firm when life feels uncertain. If you've been part of the Flint to Grace community, you know this ministry is built on one simple truth. God meets us in the middle of real life, not after the struggle, not after we've figured everything out, but right in the middle of brokenness, uncertainty, waiting, and hope. Whether you're walking through anxiety, grief, leadership challenges, family struggles, or simply trying to follow Christ faithfully, God's word still speaks with power today. That's what this series is all about. Episode one, when God speaks through the silence, walks us through Psalm 46, 10, be still and know that I am God. It helps us understand what it really means to be still. Together we'll discover how God speaks through the silence and why surrender is often more powerful than striving. Episode 2 Through the Waters Together walks us through Isaiah 43 2. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. It explains that life brings loss, change, and uncertainty. This episode reminds us that no matter what waters we face, God never walks away. Episode three. What pain produces walks us through Romans 5, 3 to 5. Suffering produces perseverance. It teaches us that pain is never wasted in God's hands. We'll explore how He uses our hardest seasons to shape our faith, character, and hope. Episode 4, finding joy before the victory. It teaches us about James 1 2-4, count it all joy. We learn that biblical joy isn't pretending life is easy. It's finding God's peace and purpose even before the victory comes. And episode 5 of our five-part series, titled The Three Things That Matter Most, walks us through Micah 6.8. Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God. We'll conclude the series by exploring three timeless principles that can transform our leadership, relationships, and walk with Christ. Throughout this series, we'll do more than simply read these verses. We'll examine their historical context, discover why they were written, learn from trusted biblical scholarship, and most importantly, explore how God's timeless truth applies to our lives today. We'll ask difficult questions, we'll wrestle with real struggles, and together we'll discover the redeeming grace of Jesus Christ that has always been at the heart of Flint to Grace. Whether you're listening from Flint, Michigan, Okinawa, Japan, or somewhere else around the world. I'm honored that you've chosen to walk this journey with me. I hope you'll join me for standing firm. Five scriptures that can change your life, beginning right here on the Flint to Grace podcast.
